Land Title and Records Office
Land Title and Records Office is the official office-of-record for all documents affecting title to trust lands on the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation (ACIR) and for the determination, maintenance, and certified reporting of land title ownership and encumbrances on those lands. The Land Title and Records Office maintains the federal Indian Land Record of Title, examines and determines the completeness and accuracy of the records, certifying the findings and reporting the status of title to ACIR trust lands. Residential Leasing processes sub-leasehold assignments and encumbrances on tribal and allotted trust lands of the ACIR for submission to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for approval. Residential Leasing's review ensures transactions have adequate supporting documentation and deeds of trust do not over-encumber a leasehold. Rights-Of-Way is responsible for the collection and processing of federally compliant data necessary for the recordation of permits, temporary access and easements across trust lands on the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation.
